B&G Train World has been family-owned and operated since the doors first opened on October 10, 1984. Now, over 25 years later, we’ve finally stepped into the ‘modern age’ with the launch of a website!

A lot’s changed over the years; the economy, the prices, Bruce’s hairstyle, etc. But one thing remains constant here at B&G. Our dedication to the hobbyist is still and always will be our top priority.

The store has remained at the same location all these years at 829 Walnut Avenue in Elgin, Illinois. We’ve added on to the store and built a warehouse to help expand our inventory, but still can’t stock everything. We have a sign above the cash register that says it all: “Can’t find it? We’ll order it!”

Our staff is comprised of friendly, knowledgeable model railroaders that will do their best to answer any questions you may have about the hobby.

It is our intent to extend our knowledge, friendly service, great selection, and fast reliable shipping to our web customers. So keep checking back, as products will continue to be added all the time and special pricing will be updated monthly.
