1/35 Scale
The Hummel (German for "bumble bee") was designed to provide artillery support for the Panzer divisions of the German Army in World War II. Essentially a self-propelled gun motor carriage, it paired the 15cm Heavy Field Howitzer 18 with a chassis composed of elements from the Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks. Hummels were designed in 1942 and debuted on the Eastern Front in 1943; they were also seen in Northwest Europe and Italy in the latter half of WWII. This model is based on the late production variant.
